Abstract

Abstract

Ethical responsibilities are pillars for optimizing good governance within an organization. The overall objective of this research is to analyze the influence of ethical responsibility on the management of funding allocated by partners for the activities of the National AIDS Control Program in the DRC between 2020 and 2025. To achieve this, we set out to identify the main ethical challenges related to the management of partner funds, analyze the compliance of management practices with international standards of transparency, accountability, and equity, and propose recommendations to improve governance and ethical responsibility in funding management. We used a survey method, interview techniques, and focus groups, as our research was mixed. The results obtained provide sufficient evidence that ethical responsibility positively influences funding management and ensures transparency, compliance, efficiency, and accountability. Their effectiveness is therefore essential to ensure the sustainability and impact of partner-funded interventions.
